Pick your situation
Start with the question that matches the moment: a lost lane, a contested objective, a wave, or a fight.
Dota Decisions is a focused playbook for turning uncertain moments into practical decisions you can act on immediately.
We built Dota Decisions for our guild.
It started with flowcharts. We’d draw out different situations, sometimes in MS Paint, and pass them around over Discord as a way of explaining what to do when a game got complicated.
They were useful, including mid-game, but they weren’t the best interface.
The alternatives didn’t fit especially well either. Most of the ideas were too small and situational to justify a long blog post, and making a video every time someone had a useful thought about Dota seemed like an excellent way to stop having useful thoughts about Dota.
So we built Dota Decisions as an interactive version of those original flowcharts.
It’s a way for us to pass on things we’ve learned as a guild, while also helping with the part of Dota that’s harder to put into a build guide: situational playmaking. What do you do given this game state, these tradeoffs, and the information you have right now?
Basically, all the stuff that usually starts with someone on Discord saying, “Okay, but what if…”
PS: It’s still a work in progress, and we’re continuing to fine-tune the level of depth as we test it in beta.
Pick the situation you are facing, answer a few focused questions about the game in front of you, and get a practical next move.

Answer a few focused questions so the flow understands the game state—not just the hero you picked.
Finish with a clear recommendation, plus what to do next and what to avoid while the window is open.
